Working meeting between the Association of Provincial Governors of the People’s Republic of China and Representatives of Central and Eastern European

The delegation from the Moravian-Silesian Region led by Deputy Governor Jan Krkoška participated in the 3rd working meeting between the Association of Provincial Governors of the People’s Republic of China and representatives of Central and Eastern European Regions.

Accepting the invitation of Lačeslav Petkov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Czech Republic, a delegation from the Moravian-Silesian Region led by Deputy Governor Jan Krkoška participated in the 3rd working meeting between the Association of Provincial Governors of the People’s Republic of China and representatives of Central and Eastern European Regions, held between the 17th and the 20th October 2017 under the 16+1 initiative.

Held in Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, the meeting focused on three areas – Culture and Tourism, Innovation and Economic Zones, and Agriculture. The delegation from the Moravian-Silesian Region participated in the meeting for Culture and Tourism, during which tourism opportunities in Bulgaria, the Chinese provinces of Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Gansu, and Guangdong, and in the city of Tianjin were presented. The meeting with delegates from the partner province of Hebei was also constructive, as this opportunity was taken to discuss the province’s participation in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Ostrava and surroundings.
