Project objectives

The project objective is the exchange of experience and sharing of best practices among partner regions in FR, PL, CZ, and NL, both on the regional level (where the involvement of officials and persons in charge of deciding on tools for promoting and increasing the attractiveness of the fields of education and the professions themselves is expected) and at the school level (where the involvement of persons from the school administration and persons involved in career guidance and career direction of pupils, future graduates is expected).

The issues addressed by the project will comprise a portfolio of aspects falling both into the educational and professional spheres, in particular the following:

• Recruiting and attracting potential students (vocational students) into nursing education;
• Transition of graduates from these fields of education into professional life;
• Retaining graduates in the (nursing) professions in which they were trained;
• Retaining and increasing the motivation of staff and possibly future graduates for these professions.

Project activities and outputs

The project consists of short-term exchanges and international meetings of persons (officials and representatives of schools, or other representatives of organisations subsidised by the Region that operate in the relevant areas), which will be aimed mainly at learning about the functioning of current regional systems, exchanging experiences in the implementation of tools for promoting nursing education and professions and increasing their attractiveness at the regional and school level, sharing best practice in the implementation of these tools, and finally finding inspiration between the partners. A total of 8 such meetings should take place during the project term, one in each partner region (i.e., one short-term exchange and one international meeting in each region).
